Beach House Retreat

The Gulf is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you hear at night. The house sits on the dune line with its own boardwalk down to the sand, so the beach is about thirty seconds from the back door and nobody has to load a car to get there. The living room runs the full width of the house with glass on three sides. Ten people fit in it without anyone being in the way, which is what you want on the one rainy afternoon you are going to get. The kitchen is built for people who actually cook, with enough counter to put a real dinner together while somebody else works the grill outside. Four bedrooms and three and a half baths, so there is no queue in the morning. The primary looks straight out over the water and has its own bath. The pool is heated year round and the hot tub sits beside it, both tucked out of the wind behind the deck. The fire pits come on at dusk and that is usually where the evening ends. Bikes are in the garage. Beach chairs, the umbrella and the outdoor shower are by the back door, which is the order you will use them in. Good to know: check in after 4pm, check out by 10am, two nights minimum. The nightly rate covers six guests and up to ten are welcome. Dogs are welcome for $95 a stay.
